“O Father, who hears our prayers, forgive us when we are overwhelmed by sin. You are the hope of all the ends of the earth.
You formed the mountains… and stilled the seas… and the turmoil of the nations. You care for the land and water it; You enrich it abundantly.”
Father, care for us as You care for the land. Pour out on us what we need for growth and fruitfulness in our spiritual lives. Provide us with the nourishment we need to grow in maturity and grace.
You “drench its furrows and level its ridges, softening it with showers, blessing the land and crowning it with bounty and abundance.” Father, drench us in Your love, even out our rough places, soften our hearts where they are hardened.
“You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your carts overflow with abundance.”
Father, this year continues the crisis and disunity in our lives, our nation and the world. Draw us all to You, to seek Your will and purpose for our lives. Answer us with awesome deeds and fill us with good things from Your house.
Open our eyes to acknowledge Your bounty and the abundance of blessing. And we will shout for joy and sing praises to You. Amen
